BGP convention concluded

Delhi: The last day of National convention of Baratiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) concluded here. Mr. Pathak, MP, was the chief guest on the occasion. Speaking at the occasion Mr. Pathak said, BGP had carried the national movement in the interests of the Gorkha community and that he would always support it. The issues raised by the BGP are politically inclined ones and stressed that these issues be solved politically for which a strong unity is required in the community.The review of 1950 Treaty between India and Nepal is required to distinguish between Indian Gorkha and Nepal’s Nepali, said Mr. C. K Sthrestha. Recruitments of Nepali citizens in Indian army should be stopped in order to provide opportunities for Indian Gorkhas to serve India, added Mr. Shrestha. Dr. Mahendra P Lama also addressed in the convention that Indian Gorkhas missed an opportunity, which GBP should not repeat it. If BGP head towards right direction with proper manner, Dr. Lama assured his support and cooperation. Delegates from 22 states participated in the convention. Distinguished personalities from all over the country attended the national convention of BGP. |
