Cover Story - Issue IV

  • image Nowhere in the world are war veterans felicitated with such pomp and show, notice the banners being waved and directed towards the bodies of these war heros. What a cowardly act of the bengal police swinging to the tune of the CPM.Would have loved to see the photographs of such an event where the grounds were even and it was a fair tussle with both parties equally armed

  • image People of India. I mean the whole citizens of India should study this tyranny of Bengal Police Force very carefully and with sensitivity. This picture throws the light on the issue that this event took place in Siliguri Town against the peaceful marchers of Retired Indian Gorkhas. The picture clearly depicts the cruelty and beating of one Indian Gurkha by 3 (three) armed Bengal Police Men which is far more a crime than Policing Duty. It was a fight between an empty handed Gorkha and three armed Police men. Then what do you do but accept the heavy injuried and death by being beaten up because it is surreal that you can't survive alone from the beatings of 3 Police men armed with Big Long Sticks and other weapons. Those causing these serious injuries, mental and physical tortures and torments must be brought to justice and full treatments and compensations to be paid to the injured and affected Gorkhas. Rulers and Police Forces of North Bengal need not speak of the peace and harmony in the hills and plains of Darjeeling instead they should learn to discipline themselves to maintain peace and friendship with laws according the the democratic nation but should not trample the lives of the ordinary people thinking that power is their (Police and CPM) only weapon to crush people and silent them.

  • image Amit please don't provoke us. The definition of Darjeeligay gorkhas is that they are they very friendly, caring and indiscriminating people, there is no doubt. Same thing could have happened to your brothers and sisters but we are not your kind of stupid people you see. We have always respected other communities and we will always maintain that as we are educated this way by our teachers, elders and leaders and it has got into our blood now. We are fighting for our genuine casuse and please don't laugh at us. The day will come when we laugh at you.

  • image Sooooooo....brilliantly splashed the news and pictures ,across the pages ...tears rolled down my cheeks and my heart bleeding incessantly for our beloved ex-servicemen who must have suffered a hell at the clutches of those pack of WOLVES of Bengal who pretend to be maintaining law and order under the blanket of barbarism and racial discrimination .We shouldn't anyhow believe in the drop of Bengal's crocodile tears . Thanks ever so much mr Salendra mani Pradhan for sweating a lot over this invaluable writing ,pictures as well ......!!!

  • image Thanks Shailendra for this true story of Gorkhas, the retired Gorkha Soldiers who were beaten like criminals by the Bengal Police Men. The pictures are the proof of their cruelty and heavy handedness to the human beings in Undemocratic North Bengal. This true story and the pictures the pillars of proof to be sent to the Home Minister, the Inspector General Of Police and to the Defence Minister and the Army Chief of Staffs in Delhi to look into it and take severe actions. Publish this story in other National Newspapers too. The more we see these pictures and tortures of Retired Gorkha Soldiers and to the Gorkha Naris (ladies) the more we want Gorkhaland in a die hard manner and that's in an earnest.

  • image Well done Shailendra ji, A very good work. The Gorkhaland needs people like you to bring up the truth. At least we know that we have our own intellectuals and writers who could not sit idle by seeing those miserable pictures of Gorkhas being bitten up and dragged around like criminals. These ex-servicemen were simply exercising their basic right. We need to put forth our complaints to the Central. Why our leaders are silence on this matter. Why not we could do something on this heinous act by CPM Police, at least to console our Ex-Servicemen Gorkhas. Those CPM goons are laughing at us.

  • image Hay! Amit, you better shut up and hide behind those Bangladeshi. There would be a return match soon. You can see the face of the Policemen. They are all hired Bangladeshis. Look at the helmet they wore with green colour which is nation colour of Banlgadesh. This is not a single Gorkha being bitten up but the true atrocity of pathetic regime of the CPM. Although these pictures is putting fires to our Gorkha blood but our calm should not to be taken as our weakness. There are true Gorkhas who are ready to avenge the blood. But our leaders have pledged to follow Gandhi path, otherwise there could have been more bloodshed. It is one of the CPM's filthy tricks to get us excited and wants us to involved in a wrong move so that they would send out trigger happy Bangladeshi goons again to do their dirty work. You can laugh now but the last laugh would be ours.
