Poll: 4th Tripartite Meeting
During the 4th Tripartite Talk, GJMM has been immensely pressurized to focus only on the creation of Gorkhaland, besides, the conclusion of the Meeting seems to be only TALK on POLITICAL LEVEL in next round. Do you think 4th Tripartite Talk has been successful?

  • image Dear Mr. Time Will Tell.... kindly send me an email pradhanum@gmail.com... Sir, for your information Gandhiji may have been a great soul.. incomparable to any one... but for me... every son and daughter of Darjeeling who has decided to go on non-violent protest is far - far greater than Gandhiji... No offence but... These people are fighting for me.. for you and for our future.. Further, the fact is that I have just QUOTED him not COMPARED.. hope you understand the difference.

  • image We need to awaken the greater sleeping gaints, who are at the Parliament and the Secretariat. To awaken these Kumbakarnas, we need to formulate a constructive, productive strategy at the earliest, and with wide coverage. To begin with, our own Kumbakarna (our representative to the Lok Sabha) needs to be awaken, and accountable, before some form of 'justice' is to done to awake him.

  • image Dear Upen Bhai, Nice to see your article again. But you have still not helped me to get my views published , like you do in the darjeeling times .com, in spite of my request for help to you. And i feel your example of Gandhi in this context is misappropriate. Please dont compare every tom dick and harry with Gandhi. It will only demean Gandhi rather then purifying the image of the person whom you are comparing. After all as Einstien said about Gandhi "Perhaps he is the holiest man to walk upon the earth in 19th century". And as you have urged Prashant to speak up something regarding the turbulence in the hills, can you, in the same manner urge Gurung, Ramadamu, Ghissing, Madan Tamang, Roshan Giri, G.S.Yonzone, M.P Lama, Dawa Narbula, and other wanna be leaders to fast unto Death for the cause of Gorkhaland and in protest of Bhattacgaryas comment. Leaders have to lead by examples, like what Gandhiji did, and for which he is remembered, respected, loved, admired (and may be what even Mamta Didi is also doing) and not push the crowd to hell but enjoy themselves in heaven. I hope you got my point. Remember Gandhi went to jail with the people, fasted with the people and died for the people but did not incite people to do anything without him showing the way. Thats called a leader with true conviction. Lastly my tribute to the innocent people going under hunger strike. You guys have not only courage but also a lot of conviction. But i doubt whether your leaders also have the same.

No dream to big..its the advertisment but voice of Gorkha god for Greater Gorkhaland!

  • image Upendra, I like your articles. They all make good sense to me. I only wish you would also quote some of our own in our article. One thing that we often forget to mention is that the Bengal CPM government is equally responsible for putting us in the mess we are in now. They used Ghising as their agent. They knew it well what Ghising was doing and not doing. Yet, they remained mum as long as Ghising did not ask for Gorkhaland. Of course, it is our own man Ghising but we should not forget to point out the hegemony of the Bengal CPM government that continously neglected the wishes of the people from the hills. What right the Bengal government has to negotiate the 6th schedule with the caretaker Chairman who has lost the mandate of the people. Bengal government is to be blamed for all the mess we are in now.
