Darjeeling, Sept 14: Finest Animators from Kolkata and other cities have been engaged for one year to make the first Cartoon film  called "Jiwan-Chakra" in Darjeeling by Arena Animation, Darjeeling. The film has used 2D animation, the back ground artists are the passed out students from the same Institute. The voice-over is done by the renowned artist of Darjeeling. Actual duration of the film is 30 minutes and releasing by the 2nd week of October 2009.

It is a story about deforestation, global warming and wild-life conservation, a phenomenon we all are experiencing and are affected with.  The movie itself speaks about how we are moving ahead with the destruction and making our future generation cripple.

  • image Congratulations! to Roshan Kant Ghising and his entire team of Arena Animationup for the success of "Jiwan Jhakra." I feel proud of it that Darjeeling is also coming in the limelight in the field of Animation. i know how difficult it is to make animation film. Really! it is a first film in Nepali ever produced. "Thuprai thuprai aru films haru pani banawnu hos hai ra hamro awney bhai-bahini lai yas chetra ma aghi lai janu hosh." God be always with you

  • image Many Congratulations to the entire team of "Jeevan Chakra". Its really a good attempt. The animation, music and background voices has come out very good. I am really thrilled to watch this footage. Its a step that will encourage many youth to come out with their creative thoughts and will certainly do proud for the people of "Queen of Hills". Hats off to you guys... Keep doing great work... Raj G B'lore

  • image Very nice and all. Attention to detail-that's where its all at. In the very beginning, the spelling for film is "flim". And of course, attention to details in the illustration itself is paramount. In the glut of "animation" illustration that is to be routinely found everywhere these days, it really needs to stand out. Anyway, its good to know that a start has been made and I wish the team all the best!
