  • image We would like to take this opportunity of thanking the many individuals and organizations without whose full support, co-operation, assistance and equally important - encouragement, the MONTAGE- A Student Documentary Film Festival would not have achieved the success and recognition in such a short space of time. We would like to take the Film Festival to travel so that Darjeeling and its blackness should be highlighted so that we can work on it and come to a solution of how to save our Darjeeling. We would be happy to you could buy a copy of DVD of Black Darjeeling and Screen it at your neighborhood. Please Contact Ms. Smriti Rai-9832076784, Mr. Vikram Rai-9832042879

  • image Hey Juniors...Nice work! Me not "that Senior" either (wink wink) but sure a commendable job. These make me all in all sad again. The pull-factor/migarting all youths to cities for job( i am one a pure victim of this crisis too)...certainly the biggest area of develpment for the policy makers. Creation of job opportunities is a marked challenge. But i also say that it's not entirely reflected on the Administartion alone...its also us who all are deviating for the reality. we have this growing expectations...boundless to measure that keeps us grounded to cities...we want to see the same lights and space in Darjeeling too...when Lord when?? anyway leaving my sad sorrows apart. Great work! Congrats once again. All the best for your future endevour Gorkhae bhais...

  • image "A very sadly neglected Queen" - said 'then' BJP Supremo and still our MP - Jaswant Singh, and added, "I consider myself married to Darjeeling." ..... Yes, something is going to happen soon ..... "Gorkhaland toh hoga, hoga!!" quipped Rajiv Pratap Rudy and Queen of Bollywood, Hema Malini. ...... Now, 22 years of Ghising misrule .... and these inspirational videos to start re-planning and re-building THE QUEEN OF INDIAN HILL STATIONS ..... 1st we need RING ROADs in concentric circles around these towns to expand with the population and to control the congestion ..... then a complete makeover and removal of all the illegally encroached and built upon municipality roadside land for the expansion of current roads. ...... We need to think and plan like the BRITISH did when they chose the Darjeelings hills as they planned their HEALTH SANITARIUM to get away from the MADNESS of the PLAINS... So, no more thinking like the Bengalese ...... Strikes and All ...... and no more VOTE BANK POLITICS or POLITICOs.
