Darjeeling, 5 July: As the people of Darjeeling hills waits anxiously to know the future of Darjeeling hills after July 7, today’s meeting of Central Committee, GJMM has revealed its strategies after their meeting held at Darjeeling as follows and will be maintained strictly in Darjeeling hills after July 7:
- Indefinite general strike from July 7 has been withheld till August 7.
- GL number on vehicles has been mandatory only for Central Committee members of GJMM, not for general people after July 7. Government vehicles will be forced to use the numbers in second phase of program scheduled. The private and public vehicles approach in the last.
- Central and State government offices will remain closed for indefinite period from 7 July onwards.
- Banks /Post Office/ Food and Supply offices will be given relaxation on Monday and Friday.
- Departments of Municipality: Conservancy and Water Works will work as usual.
- All the Power companies like NHPC, NIPPON, NTPC etc. operating in Darjeeling hills will remain shut-down for indefinite period after July 7.
- Timbers from the Darjeeling hills will not be allowed to descend to plains.
- Different religious group of Darjeeling hills will have prayer-meet at different places of Darjeeling hills after July 7.
