Sixth Schedule uncertainty, GNLF instigate agitation?

Darjeeling: While implementation of Sixth Schedule in Darjeeling hills seems uncertain, to elucidate the current Sixth Schedule issue, Mr. A K Maliwal, as the personal ambassador of chief minister of West Bengal, had a secret meeting with Mr. Subash Ghisingh, GNLF Supremo, more than an hour at Lalkoti on August 7.

People of Darjeeling has taken this meeting very seriously, while, Gorkha-league has categorically rejected the implementation of Sixth Schedule in the hills and Mr. Dawa Norbula, MP, confirmed that discussion of Sixth Schedule for Darjeeling hills has not been mentioned in the Agenda of this monsoon parliament session.

Mr. Subash Ghisingh has been pressurised from party within since the uncertainty of Sixth Schedule issue prevailed in the hills. GNLF has taken the decisions that 13 days strike in hills from September 8 and handover of DGHC to Bengal government on October 2.  Observers believe that, the reason why Bengal government had sent an ambassador from Kolkata to Darjeeling.

Lalkoti, head quarter of DGHC, described this meeting with Mr. Maliwal as courtesy meeting and has not issued any formal information regarding the outcome of meeting.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO DIED FOR GORKHALAND. THE PEOPLE JUST CAN'T HELP THINKING HOW CAN YOU JUST LIVE EACH DAY WITH THAT FACE ? WHAT A SHAMELESS PERSON YOU ARE, YOU KNOW THAT PEOPLE DON'T LIKE YOU , YOU ARE NOT A GOOD LEADER FOR THEM SO, WHY DON'T YOU JUST RESIGN. PLEASE RESIGN! ATLEAST YOU CAN DO THIS FOR THE PEOPLE, BELIEVE ME IT WILL BE THE GREATEST GIFT.

  • image Once upon a time a certain Mr. Ghising came up with a grand plan for a Land of The Gorkhas. A lot many died, a lot many suffered - I was proud to support the movement then- but alas the power has gone up his head and he is being a real jerk. Why can't the Central Government create Gorkhaland as a seperate state...??? Hmmm I think he is getting paid reasonably well to play the act...of actually doing nothing......

He is ruling darjeling for so long but he could not make us proud ...look at PRASHANT ..he has made us so proud...a young guy!!! yeh u isshkush go off to graveyard ..its time now!! dont play the fool with the poor!!! and all the leaders of GNLF wake up!!! you all are shameful people!!! i hope you all read it !!!

  • image darjeeling,darjeeling,darjeeling....the place which is called the queen of hills all the india and world ...it is been lambasted by the leader like mr{why should i quoted him }subash ghising ....he has missguided the poor darjeeling people and he will always do the same as long as he is in throne and his palace{lalkothi}to over kill....please people of darjeeling does'nt need a gorkhaland nor they need a sixth schedule....they need a peace of mind and a better future for the upcoming younger generation of youth..whom we can say our birth place was used to called queen of the hills...agitation for what? just becoz central govt and state govt are not fullfilling some countable person need to lur....by buying property,cars....why they are butchering the life of an ordinary darjeeling people...i can't all the blame for those ludicrous people but most of the blame goes for this scenerio to the people of darjeeling itself....we elect and we are so self centred people within ourself.....need to change out point of view not for ourself but for the coming generation....we have lost and vividly put big chain within out foots that we are not able to tumble this council....but what comes up must come down.... it might come down ...asang is gonne down but who is one the line mr bimal gurung.....ohhh need to work ourself out with what we wanted right away....other too soon now or never

But we should blame ourselves for choosing him and appointing him and the best part is he is surrounded by good for nothing people.....all murderers, drug addicts, womenisers etc..........God help Darjeeling.   • image The SIXTH SCHEDULE is indeed Subhash Ghising's last throw of the dice.He has never fooled the people of Darjeeling with his empty promises and he will not do it now.He has survived as the chair of the defunct DGHC for so long simply because of the God-like status he enjoys amongst the illiterate and ignorant section of the hills...and the goons he has surrounded himself with.Someone who is as notorious as Bimal Gurung is now a councillor.Really,..,what does he know about politics????The only thing in have seen him do is organise that stupid 'mela' once a year at Singamari through which he generates enough income to feed his posse of murderers and criminals.I do not feel for the people of Darjeeling because it is them who have let this joke play out for so long.The well off section don't give a damn what party rules or where Ghising is having his next "Jhakri" dance.Do we care?? No!! we only crib and complain and that too out of earshot.I have friends who are die hard supporters of GNLF.Only God and they know why.I think they support the GNLF and the "iskoos" we have sitting on the chair because they hope...they hope tomorrow is going to be different.They hope that their children will be given what they were deprived of.They hope to see their kids complete the education they had to leave unfinished because they were busy fighting the civil war in the '80s.They hope Ghising to be the messiah he had promised to be.I feel sorry for them when they talk so passionately about the future even when their present is so murky.Subhash Ghising,how can you sleep at night knowing you have betrayed the hopes of all those who trusted you??How can you eat even a morsel knowing you have left thousands unsure where their next meal is coming from??how can you hope to give your children better lives knowing you have sent somebody else's sons to premature graves??Someday...the people will become one and call your bluff.Someday, even the most passionate protector of the "hariyo jhanda" will spit on the flag we had dreamt of hoisting on 'our' land.You are a joke Ghising...but we have become the laughing stock of the nation!!!

  • image Whoever said that the wrinkle faced traitor live long must be crazy!That fungus fed rotten chimp should have never been born at all.Sixth Schedule was and will be just another drama to fool the people.Its their last stand-in comedy show.When agitation and all the sacrifices made were numbed single-handedly what do you except of such germs to do now.Even after two decades, things are miserable!How come we've become so tolerant to all this crap going on?Afterall its our HOME,du!!These parasites live on our expense; black raw' agents!High time we gear up for a change.
